Thank you, Thank you
for the comments you left to my questions! Your thoughts were very insightful, for that matter I had not even considered the second comment
If you do not mind I will probably venture back to poke about your Journal a wee bit
Its rather late here and i just wanted t say a quick hello before bed. I will return to look at your pictures. Have a good week
Well, I went out yesterday and blew all my money on a new lens for the camera. (Well, maybe not all of it, but certainly a good chunk.)
It's a Tamron 200-500mm zoom. Takes great pictures, but weighs about 5 lbs. After carrying it around all afternoon, it felt more like 30.
Naturally, I had to get out to Covington's riverfront to play with it. The pigeons were everywhere, so I got some really nice pigeon pics. (Too bad nobody likes pigeons)

This was a really pretty all black & white pigeon...
Here's a Northern Mockingbird...
The Roebling Murals. Since I only had the new lens with me, I had to step pretty far back to get them in it. I'll have to come back with a wider angle lens sometime and get some good pictures of them.
Dragonfly on a stick. This was taken from about 8 feet away...
Mrs. Mallard and the kids...
Common Grackle, I think this one might be the "bronzed" variation...
And of course, the ubiquitous Canada Geese...
Ok...I have lense envy...lol. Lovely pictures and nice to see you have come back here to update.I hope everything is well with you.
Sorry I haven't been around lately. I've been spending all my time time on my myspace space, myspace.com/scott_ky. Just lately, I've started posting the same blogs both here and there. What else can you do with two blogs?
Thats cool....I know a few that do this. Bravenet sucks really but Im too lazy to move.Myspace is more up with the times and I would imagine you get more attention over there.Glad your still posting here though....I really love the dragonfly picture, that lense is amazing!!!!I think thats the one we need to be getting next. We spent about $2800 on Camera and lenses a few months back and we are trying out filters now. It's my favorite pastime...Take care and coming back to check up on you soon...lol. ;)
