Brother Walt: You are correct: the Bible is not hate literature. However, just as your example proved, many verses may be taken out of context and distorted toke make the Bible seem to say almost anything. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." --Proverbvs 1:7

Assassins for Jesus

Praise Gawwwd!!! The LORD has spoken and is using His humble servant, the Ayatollah Pat Robertson, to show us the way! Why should America waste billions of dollars and the lives of our good young soldiers (who could become productive citizens tithing ten percent of their income) on a wasteful destructive war when all we have to do is send in a few covert operatives to do the job and get it over with?

No, sleep deprivation hasn't finally driven me over the edge. I'm just reacting to the latest example of Christian Terrorism proposed by that pertinacious raving fundament, Pat Robertson. In his August 22 episode of The 700 Club, refering to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Pat said, "If he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it.... We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

I'm amazed at his clear thinking. Why didn't we think of that with Saddam & Osama?

Speaking of Osama, is Pat's statement very different from the fatwas issued by the Islamic terrorists?

At least the people of Venezuela can rest easy knowing their country won't be invaded the way Iraq was.

It's only President Chavez who has to watch his back.
